It All Started in a Gas Station
Carolina Handling opened for business in 1966, in an old North Carolina gas station with just five associates. We specialized in Raymond electric narrow aisle lift trucks, along with a commitment to exceptional service.
Over the next few years, we expanded into Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida.
Today, Carolina Handling operates branches offices in Charlotte, NC, Greensboro, NC, Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, GA, and Greenville, SC, as well as an Equipment Distribution Center in Piedmont, SC.

As our product offerings grew, our headcount and expertise expanded as well. In fact, we now have more than 700 associates, including 400+ service technicians.
Carolina Handling associates receive some of the most comprehensive training and career development support within the industry. We believe that this investment strengthens every aspect of our business, from our average 1.1-hour response time on service calls, to the fact that 90% of those calls are completed on the first visit.
